I'm a very big fan of the LS in general. While I do like the LS7 a lot, the Mercedes M120 has become a quite nice part of my life recently, and she's quite the heart breaker!
I hit a deer a few weeks ago, so the four banger is out of commission currently, but there's now a mystery: Case of the Missing Drain Plug! Somewhere between the tow truck, body shop and coming back home, the trans has lost it's drain plug and all fluid. I suspect the body shop fucked something up they shouldn't have. Upon hitting the deer, no fluids were leaking, and the car drove "normally" for the 50 feet I had to move it. Color me pissed off.

does anybody make symmetrical/mirrored turbos? and by that i mean, lets take this side as the starter and "mirror" it to the passenger side of the engine. so the compressor outlet is again on the bottom, in which case it would have to spin in the opposite "counter-clockwise" direction and so on....
I'm just a big fan of symmetry.

The parts are cast completely...in order to make a "lefty" turbo, the whole thing would have to be inverted, including the fan internally. I agree that it would look a lot better as a symmetrical package, but you'd have to pose that question to a manufacturer. maybe it's demand, maybe there's some inherent design that just works better?

I can't insert a video due to mobile, but Google "Nelson black hole" and you will see a 2500hp BBC. They have mirror image turbos on that engine.

yeah exactly what i was asking about. and oh DAYUUMM, 88mm turbo's, the dam whooshing air drowns out the 5inch!!!! exhaust (well at least as the camera mic is concerned)
